To achieve the dept of the glaze, we fire this particular piece twice. The result is a layered glaze that evokes the quiet majesty of a glacier. Primarily a soft, translucent white, it carries a barely-there wash of pale blue that seems to surface through the texture like ice beneath snow. The finish is smooth yet subtly varied, catching light in a way that reveals its depth—cool, ethereal, and quietly luminous.​

In Kalin Asenov's studio located in Savannah, GA, each piece is meticulously handcrafted using the slab construction technique. 
This ancient method of hand-building creates a direct and enduring link between the artist and the artifact. 
The shapes are formed without the use of a pottery wheel, employing only the hands and basic tools. Each labor-intensive piece begins with a predefined design, yet the construction process and the variability of natural materials ensure that each creation is subtly distinct. Variations may include slight differences in size, a gentle undulation in the clay, or a variation in the glaze's intensity. 
The end product is a unique and exceptional item, its traits bearing witness to the artist's personal touch.
